The Costa Cálida is the coastal area of the Murcia region and it runs from El Mojón (Near 'San Pedro' on the map) in the north near the province of Alicante and the Costa Blanca, to just south of Águilas bordering on the region of Almería province and the Costa Almeria.

The northern end of this coastline includes the Mar Menor ("Little Sea"), a coastal saltwater lagoon which at around 170 km2 is Europe's largest. The Mar Menor is separated from the Mediterranean by a 22km-long spit of land called La Manga, on which most of the tourism development for the region has been constructed.

Murcia, Lorca and Cartagena are the main cities in the region.
